There are many reasons for dog aggression. While I have had several incidents of dog aggression I'll refer you to a wonderful webite called k9agression.  This is a topic that you should read up on NOW....not when the situation presents itself.  This site has awesome information.  Second, if you are presented with an aggression incident have your dog checked out medically as soon as possible.  Many times are are health issues causing the problems.

Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer is awesome.  I had the opportunity to go to one of his seminars the first part of December 2007 and it still reverberates through my heart and head.  Many people disagree with some of his approaches but I will tell you that once I started becoming the "pack leader" and not a follower our life turned around.  Yes, I have a hard time not making my dogs my "best friends no matter what" but I now have their respect and once they earn their "fun time" we have a ball.  It takes alot of hard work but is so worth it.

I could probably find you hundreds of articles on the internet dealing with dog aggression but each dog is different and must be evaluated for itself not the "norm".  Contact your veterinarian for a referral for a dog trainer in your area.  Be safe and get professional help!
